Teltek C80 Checkweigher – special design for beverage cartons at a high production rate

The request from the customer was to have an automatic station for weight and quality control instead of a taking manual samples. All packages are weighed and registered in a database for a complete and easy-to-handle statistical data.

Packages with weights outside of the acceptable tolerances will be automatically rejected. In addition to this, the customer also wanted to check that the correct packaging is used in relation to the selected article. This is ensured by reading the barcode on each package and comparing it with the reference code in the article register. In case of code mismatch or code not readable, the package will be rejected. If there are consecutive code errors an external alarm will be activated.

The products are easily guided off from the main conveyor to the control station and after passing the checkpoints all approved packages are again guided back to the main conveyor.

No modification to the production line is required, so installation is very simple. During maintenance work the production can, if desired, run in by-pass mode.

Additional features:

  • Repeatedly timer based automatic reject of two packages (in a separate compartment) for visual inspection of date marking, leakage control and cap placement.
  • Volume calculation, the filling result is displayed in volume instead of weight.
  • Feedback to fillers for automatic dosing control, based on average weight.
  • Automatic stop of the belt if no products have arrived for certain adjustable time, and automatic restart when products arrive.
