All checkweighers can be combined with a metal detector or X-ray.

A combined checkweigher and metal detector/X-ray creates the conditions for a lot of equipment in a small area. The metal detector is normally mounted on the infeed conveyor of the checkweigher.

The infeed conveyor is designed with a metal free zone according to the specification from the detector manufacturer. The conveyor is also adapted to fit the detector and in some cases a reject system.

The reject unit for metal can either be mounted before or after the weighing conveyor. Which solution to prefer depends on the space available and the desired statistic function. The complete solution can be delivered according to full BRC (British Retail Consortium) standard.
